This is a space to exhale… to soften the grip of frustration and open to the natural flow that already lives within you. Find a comfortable position, sitting or lying down. Let your body be supported. Let your breath begin to lengthen.
Inhale slowly through your nose… exhale gently through your mouth. Again, inhale… and let it go. There is nothing to fix in this moment, only something to feel, only something to free.
Bring your attention gently to your breath. Let it be your anchor. Inhale… and feel your chest expand. Exhale… and feel your body soften. Imagine your breath like a river. Even when frustration builds like a dam, the water still knows how to move, how to return to flow.
With each inhale, allow space. With each exhale, release the grip.
Inhale… I am allowed to feel.
Exhale… I release what’s ready to go.
Inhale… I soften control.
Exhale… I trust the current beneath the tension.
Now, gently turn your awareness to the feeling of frustration. You don’t need to chase it down or relive the story, just notice where it lives in your body. Is it heat in your chest, a clench in your jaw, a buzz behind your eyes? Where does it live?
Name it silently: This is frustration. And then breathe with it. Let it be seen without needing to solve it. Imagine this energy not as a wall, but as water trapped behind a barrier. And with your breath, you’re slowly loosening the edges of that dam.
Inhale… I give it space.
Exhale… I give it movement.
Let your breath move frustration, not fight it.
Now imagine a river, clear, calm, steady. It curves through a quiet valley. There are bends, yes, obstacles, but the water knows how to move around them. Let this image settle into your mind. Imagine yourself beside this river. You dip your hand in. You feel its coolness, its clarity, its calm.
This is your flow. Not forced, not frantic. Just present, moving with what is. Step into that river now, symbolically. Let it surround you, let it rinse you, let it teach you:
I don’t need to push to move forward.
Flow comes from trust, not force.
What I feel is not who I am.
Breathe here. Soften into flow.
Feel your body now. Feel what has shifted, subtly or boldly. Maybe the frustration is still there, and that’s okay. Flow doesn’t mean it disappears, it means you’re no longer stuck in it.
Repeat slowly with breath:
Inhale… I allow.
Exhale… I adapt.
Inhale… I release the rush.
Exhale… I trust the rhythm.
Let your body know this truth. You don’t need to hold tension to create change. You are allowed to rest and still move forward. You are allowed to release the pressure and return to your pace.
Begin to gently return to your space. Wiggle your fingers… your toes… roll your shoulders softly… stretch… and let your breath expand just a bit more fully.
Before you open your eyes, speak inwardly or aloud:
I move with ease.
Flow is my nature.
I choose presence over pressure.
When you’re ready, open your eyes. Carry the river within you. And return to this flow anytime.
