The Power of the Word: Creating Your Life Through Energy and Belief
What is the power? What is the word? And what does it mean when these two are combined?
Let’s start with this simple truth: everything is energy. Since everything is energy, words are energy too. With this awareness, I invite you to ask yourself: What is the power of each word you think, say, and believe?
You’ve probably heard the saying, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me.” However, I now see this in a very different light. Words—whether believed, thought, or spoken—are incredibly powerful. In fact, we are literally “spell-ing” our lives. The language we use shapes our reality.
Much of the power of words resides in our unconscious mind, the part of us that drives our beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors. This is why we sometimes feel that our lives aren’t unfolding as planned. How could they? When our foundation—our beliefs—is built on patterns we formed before we even had the conscious ability to choose them.
Did you know that 70% to 95% of our habits, characteristics, and behaviors were established by the time we were just seven years old? The majority of us can hardly remember those early years. But they shape the filters through which we view the world, often without us even realizing it. This is where the power of the word lies.
For example, I was raised in a religious environment. The specifics of the religion aren’t as important as the fact that it became a foundational program for my life. And like many, I didn’t consciously choose many of these beliefs. Instead, they were imprinted on me during those formative years, shaping how I thought, acted, and made decisions.
It took me years of self-discovery to realize how much of my life was being driven by a desire to “want what I didn’t want.” This is where true freedom began: when I became aware that much of my life had been unconsciously influenced by those early beliefs. I started to see that, despite my desire for something different, I was still focusing on the energy of wanting to want—a cycle that kept me stuck in dissatisfaction and disappointment.
This brings us to the Law of Attraction: we create our reality by how we focus our energy. But when you focus on wanting what you don’t want, you inevitably attract more of that very thing. This pattern can be frustrating, as I learned the hard way.
So, I ask you: Are you living an authentic life—one you’ve consciously created—or are you living according to programs that were set in place during your first seven years?
The energy of the word is powerful, and once we become aware of how it shapes our lives, we can begin to use it to consciously create the life we desire.
May the power of the word guide you as you reclaim your energy and design the life you truly want.
