Seek and Sit: The Balance of Outer and Inner Alignment

Life is…

Life is?…

What is life?

To find the answer to this question, ask through the energy of ‘seeking.’ There are many ways to seek: through reading, experimenting, writing, observing, prayer, or working with mentors who have already discovered what they sought. Each path holds its own wisdom.

But just as important as the act of seeking is the art of sitting. It is in the ‘sit’ where clarity can emerge. In stillness, we align our energy with intention, creating space to hear the answers that come. The energy of your question and the energy of the answer are two parts of the same wavelength, waiting to harmonize.

What is the difference between ‘Seek & Sit’ and ‘Sit & Seek’?

Let’s look at the definitions:

  • Seek: to attempt to find.

  • Sit: to remain in a particular position or state.

What are you seeking?

Is it an answer? A solution to a challenge? An object, person, activity, place, or state of being?

Once you gain clarity on what it is you seek, take the time to sit. Sit with the knowing that what you seek, seeks you. This is the Law of Attraction in action.

What is life?

This question has been answered in countless ways, through ideas, beliefs, and actions from cultures all over the world. Let us, in our own unique ways, seek and sit to uncover our personal truth about life.

‘What is life?’ becomes ‘What is life to you?’

Sit with this question, and journal your findings.

May you always find balance between seeking and sitting, for it is in both that clarity is born.

To Feel the Real is to Find the Self

To come home to ourselves, we must first get real—with our truth, our tenderness, and our tangled emotions. Getting real makes space for feeling, and feeling reconnects us to the Self that’s been waiting beneath the surface.
