Trapped Emotions: What They Are and Why We Have Them

To understand why we have trapped emotions, it’s essential first to grasp what an emotion actually is.

An emotion, in its simplest form, is Energy in Motion. Energy needs a direction, a purpose, and emotions are the messengers of that energy—carrying information about our personal experiences, thoughts, and expressions. These emotions arise from various organs and glands within the body, signaling what’s happening within our mental, emotional, and physical systems.

As humans, we are made up of various energy systems—chakras, meridians, and our aura—all of which contribute to our unique electromagnetic makeup. I like to think of our energetic signature as being like fingerprints—no two are the same. Our emotions are part of our personal life manual, each message unique to us.

But what happens when emotions get trapped?

We can’t stop emotions from happening, that’s part of being human. What we can do is choose whether to suppress or express them. Suppressed emotions don’t just vanish—they get stuck. During traumatic events, emotions might be too overwhelming to process, so the body stores them until it’s safe or appropriate to deal with them. These trapped energies, when left unprocessed, interfere with our unique energy systems, limiting the energy available to us. So, releasing trapped emotions is essential for overall health and wellness.

The body also has a protective mechanism known as a Heart Wall®. This wall is built to shield the heart during emotional distress. However, just like any wall, it can eventually limit our ability to fully experience life. Over time, this protective barrier can restrict our emotional flow and hinder our capacity for fulfillment.

The good news? It’s possible to locate and release these trapped emotions—along with any Heart Wall®—through Emotion Code® work. If you’re ready to uncover and release the trapped emotions that may be holding you back, book your discovery call today.

The Courage to Align

The Courage to Align

True peace isn’t found in avoiding conflict but in expressing alignment. When we speak from coherence rather than compliance, communication becomes a bridge – transforming tension into truth and difference into depth.

Depression as the Echo, Not the Enemy

Depression as the Echo, Not the Enemy

“I wasn’t struggling with depression – I was struggling with life. Depression was the effect, not the cause.”

In this reflection, Lya invites us to see depression not as the enemy but as the body and soul’s cry for alignment – a message to slow down, listen, and release what’s too heavy to carry.

Lose or Gain

Lose or Gain

“Don’t think about what you might lose.
Think about what you will gain.
Let your choices be guided not by fear, but by what’s waiting to be claimed.”
